Miss Malad Fashion Pageant 2018

Malad recently witnessed a dazzling night filled with glamour, glitz, fashion beauty, charisma and supreme talent. This was at Miss Malad 2018, a beauty pageant exclusively for the lovely ladies of Malad.

It was the glamorous evening of 12th January, 2018 at Goraswadi ground, Malad West where this momentous event took place. The event was a part of the celebrated Malad Festival 2018 organized by the enthusiastic Tajindar Singh Tiwana.

Miss Malad was organised by Qnox Advertising (Yash Bhuptani and Vaishali Varma), the same duo who brought to you Miss Fabb India, Miss & Mrs Gujarati Rajasthani and Super Kid India.

Miss Malad had received an overwhelming response right from the day the registrations were made open. From over 400 entries a total of 31 girls of Malad were groomed and trained to vie for the Miss Malad pageant.

The jury comprised of eminent models and actress who upped the glamour quotient with their presence. The jury abided of the following:

– [x] Supermodel and Actor Scarlett Rose (winner of Splitsvilla 7 and the host of Sexy Scarlett).
– [x] The gorgeous and talented Gizele Thakral (Ford International Model of the Year and also an actress in the movie Kya Kool hai Hum 3)
– [x] Dr. Amita Motwani (Mrs. India International)
– [x] The beautiful Miss Uttarakhand Shweta Khanduri
– [x] Neha Banerjee (Winner Fem Mrs India)
– [x] Miss Asia Pacific International 3rd runner up Akanksha Singh.

The pageant was divided in three round which comprised of ramp walk and Q&A rounds to appraise the overall personality of the girls participating in Miss Malad. The event was conceptualized by Qnox Advertising.

Prior to the show there were rigorous grooming sessions, choreography sessions, expert advice and sessions on stage etiquette by Vaishali Varma of Qnox Advertising, after which the girls were ready to rock the stage on 12th January, 2018.

With an audience of over 5000 people the Goraswadi ground was packed to full capacity all waiting to witness an event that Malad had never seen before.

The show embarked with a ramp walk with the 31 lovely ladies wearing 18 Fire designer Kurtis. Followed by the ramp walk was the introduction round in which the contestants had to give an insight into their life’s in brief and were judged basis their confidence and articulation.

While the marks of the first round were being audited and calculated, there was an amazing performance by Mr. Vishal Kothari (Indian idol fame) who made everyone dance to his tunes and presented some romantic melodies which were enjoyed by one and all.

The dazzling lights and the stage was then set for the second round of the contest which had a total of 24 girls short listed from the first round. These attractive girls adorned in designer clothes by Meraki and beaming with confidence walked the ramp wooing one and all.

The evening quickly progressed to the Q&A round where the final 16 girls were asked impromptu questions by the celebrated jury members. The girls made the audience laugh, introspect and proud with their answers ranging on topics of womanhood to current affairs.

The drop-dead gorgeous girls of Malad had done their best in all the departments. After a few moments of anticipation the final results were out. Based on an average score derived based on the ramp walk, confidence, poise, beauty and the Answer in the Question Answer round the second runner up of Miss Malad was Divya Thakur. The first runner up with a close score was Miss Janhavi Patel and finally the sweet and grand victory belonged to Ruchi Shah who was crowned Miss Malad 2018.

Miss Malad Best Smile – Yatee Upadhayay (Best smile was judged by Dr. Riddhi Kothari who was even the official dental partner of Miss Malad 2018)
