Eating solely sendha namak (rock salt) for a week would be exceedingly harmful and even hazardous. Sendha namak, like other varieties of salt, is composed mostly of sodium chloride. While sodium is an important element that is required for many biological activities such as nerve transmission and muscle contraction, taking too much of it can cause major health concerns.

Electrolyte imbalance: Consuming excessive amounts of sodium without balancing it with other essential electrolytes like potassium and magnesium can disrupt the body’s electrolyte balance, leading to symptoms like muscle weakness, cramps, and irregular heartbeats.

Dehydration: High sodium intake can cause the body to retain water, leading to dehydration. This effect can be exacerbated if you’re not consuming enough water alongside the salt.

High blood pressure: Excessive sodium intake is strongly associated with high blood pressure (hypertension), which increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular problems.

Kidney damage: The kidneys play a crucial role in regulating sodium levels in the body. Consuming too much salt can put strain on the kidneys and may contribute to kidney damage or kidney disease over time.

Digestive issues: Eating only salt for an extended period would likely lead to severe digestive problems, including stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea.
