For more than a month, there have been rumors regarding the sequel to actor Akshay Kumar and John Abraham’s 2011 film Desi Boyz. While some speculations imply that the screenplay for Desi Boyz 2 will be finalized shortly, others claim that Kumar and Abraham will not reprise their roles and will be replaced by a new star cast. There has been speculation concerning the sequel’s new star cast members. “The actors for Desi Boyz 2 are still being decided; they will be locked once the screenplay is completed. But, certainly, the originals John and Akshay will not be returning in Part Two,” the insider confirms.
Anand and his writing team are now in the midst of developing a script, with the goal of finishing by the end of the year. Once the screenplay is finished, production will begin, with sources indicating that actors will be engaged to bring the envisioned characters to life.
