Amitabh Bachchan has hinted at resuming his weekly meetings with fans at the gate of his Mumbai home, Jalsa, on Sundays. Amitabh wrote on his blog that if the meets are arranged, it will be done with caution. He also referred to the relaxation of several Covid-19 protocols in Mumbai as a blessing.

Amitabh announced the completion of his filming in Rishikesh, “Travel over .. leaving the ‘devbhoomi’ with an immense feel of exhilaration to have been in this divine environ .. the work the atmosphere of work .. the crew and the colleagues .. all .. and the need to get back again .. to them .. and in the divinity of the surroundings ..”

Later in the blog, the veteran actor discussed how the Covid-19 restrictions in Mumbai have been lifted, and how he plans to resume his weekly meetings with fans as a result. “Alright .. the news about the city of Mumbai is that no more masks and protocol of CoviD .. which comes as a blessing .. and the restrictions of flights in the International to be given operations as normal ..So hopefully travel from far off lands shall be in permission .. and perhaps the Sunday meets at the Jalsa gate on the Sunday to be revived, albeit with given precautions  .. Such a desire to look forward to when I am back”, he penned.

Amitabh had shared a tweet in March 2020 informing fans that the meet had been cancelled due to an increase in Covid-19 cases in India. Sharing a selfie he posted on Twitter, T 3470 – To all Ef and well wishers an earnest request !PLEASE DO NOT COME TO JALSA GATE TODAY .. SUNDAY MEET am not going to come ! Take PRECAUTIONS  .. be safe .”

Meanwhile, Amitabh is working on Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai. He also has Vikas Bahl’s Goodbye, Runway 34, in which he co-stars with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh, and Brahmastra.
